Friday Fitness

Since Diminishing Lucy is no longer doing her Fat to Fit meme - I thought I still needed one where I could record all my fitness and diet related activities.  So I have come up with Friday Fitness with Adalita (Me), So I hope you will hop on the blog train and tell me about your achievements or troubles in relation to fitness and diet.

I have started a new challenge this week with the ladies on the Weight Watchers messageboards. I need to get my weight back down under 51kg. I am disgusted that it is currently over 54kg.

So it's back to basics for me and I need to regain my motivation and get moving back under 51kg (1kg under my goal of 52kg). My problem is I haven't been exercising enough! So it's time to get off my arse and get moving!

Drab to Fab - Diminishing Lucy's new meme

I am converting my life from drab to fab, this has been going on since late October. It is our massive house renovations. It has been slow going as were are doing 98% of it ourselves. This last (long) weekend I spent all 3 days working on the house. See post here...

I have walls, well some walls. To be completed this weekend.

The tap for the new yet to be bought fridge.
Over the next few months more things will be completed at the house. It is slowly becoming my home again!

Getting your Gok on - Leggy legs!

Danimezza has asked us girls to post our best feature to win a book by GOK!

My calves and legs are my best feature!
All my life up until my mid 20's I was thin and short so I had to work with what I was given. I love my legs. Being 155cm (5"1) I have always had to wear heels, I have an impressive shoe collection (one day I'll post it). I have always been told that I hve great legs (I have even been told by Phil Jamesion from Grinspoon at a gig; to the audience that I have great legs). For having a size 5 or 6 foot (36) I find it hard to find shoes that fit totally perfectly.

Me under my goal weight @ 50.8kg October 2010, I love the way my legs look here!
My legs look hot in boots too!
I posted a while back myself in a bikini, I do love my breasts (stretch marks and all). But I would have to say my calves and legs are the best part of my body that looks good no matter what!

So join in the fun and post your favourite body part!

Renovation update

This weekend I have done a lot of work on my house. Saturday I cleaned and ripped out half the kitchen. The frame for most of the sofits went up.

Sunday I helped my partner sheet the ceilings. We did the kitchen, lounge and family room. I put insulation up in the ceiling, glued the beams and placed gyprock blocks onto each sheet (so it won't crack). My arms were killing me. I feel like I have done 3 consecutive pump classes.

Monday (Labor Day) the rest of the house (minus a few sheets so the plumber can fit water in case we get a fridge with ice and water). It feels great to know that I have done a lot of work on the house, it is starting to feel like our home and not just a shell. Monday we did quite a few tricky bits without the assistance of the sheet lifter which consisted of me holding the majority of the weight of the sheet while Greg screwed the sheet in (I was on tippy toes for the majority as I am too short for the trestle) I figured out how to make it taller with 1 hour to go!

All up I did 1000s of step ups, squats, many many shoulder presses, hours of lifting sheets and 2 hours worth of sweeping.
A huge weekend.

The lounge (the remaining ceiling sheets moved from the garage)

The kitchen 1/2 gone!

I can't believe we have done all the renovations ourselves but the roof, render and concrete.

Stay tuned for more!
