Getting back into exercise after having a baby!

Isn't it hard to find time to keep up with the housework with a baby, let alone do any exercise.  I'm giving myself a month to find 15-30 minutes to do some exercise each day. I've also joined lose baby weight for their November Challenge.  http://www.losebabyweight.com.au/28-day-signup/ {not a sponsored post}. I'd got up to 80 kg with Emma. I'm down in the low 60's now. I have between 8-10kg to lose before I'm at goal weight.

Pinterest hair

Morning followers (that's if anyone is still following me)
I've been sick with a cold over the past week and a half. I'm hoping to be better by the weekend as I'm doing the color run with Weight Watchers Gold Coast.

Today I needed some cheering up so I am trying a tutorial I found on Pinterest from the beautiful girls at Oh So Pretty. The plaited bun, it's pretty easy. My hair doesn't hold bobby pins well so we will see how it fairs at the end of the day.

My version

I hope you are all well. I've been busy at work and home. I'm completing my Certificate IV in Training & Assessing on Wednesday.

I woke up at 4am on my wedding day, I saw the sunrise for the 5th day in a row. Everyone else was up at 7am so I made myself a coffee and settled in on my Mum's couch with the new Weight Watchers mag. I had a great healthy and filling breakfast of fruit and yoghurt, cereal and freshly squeezed juice. At 10am it was time to start getting all bridey (well I waited for a few hours as my Bridesmaids got made up). The time to leave came around way too quick as Mum was still doing my dress up as the cars arrived. I was so nervous and yet so excited (and a little hungry too). As we pulled up at the venue my family and friends were waiting to greet us and snap a few photos. Soon the music started and we were walking down to the water. As soon as I saw Greg I started crying tears of joy. I got to the bottom of the stairs and my dress got caught, so I pulled it swished it back out and kept walking. the big stairs done, only 2 more little stairs to go. Once I saw my Mum she wiped my tears with the hanky I gave her, it was a special moment. The ceremony went way to quick and it was a total blur. My cousin Jackie did the reading it was very special. I'm glad we chose our friend Bree to marry us it was amazing and she was so professional. Then it was family photos and off to do professional photos (with my cousin's wife).

The reception was great, my cousin Paul (the photographer's Husband) was my MC he was so nervous he forgot people's names and the order but it just made it more funny. The venue was amazing, all the little DIY things I had done and all the liaising with the wedding coordinator has come to fruition. It was classy and everything I wanted. My Dad's speech was a riot, he was hilarious (which he is often not). Our first dance was great and the food was to die for 6 courses of French Cuisine was so fulling and yet you could not stop eating. The acoustic duo were amazing my brother-in-law sang with them as he does at every event, Hotel California and it was a special moment. Soon we were on our way home as a married couple.

We Honeymooned at Tokoriki Island Resort Fiji and stayed in the Sunset Pool Villa. It was above and beyond the 5 stars it was rated. The service, hospitality and genuine friendliness was outstanding. The food at the resort was amazing, we had full board which included a Full Breakfast (including continental and one other choice), a 2 course lunch, afternoon tea, and a 3 course meal with the option to upgrade to the Teppanyaki Restaurant or the beachfront dinner. The menus changed daily which was great, I tried most things. I recommend the seafood platter for two when dining beachfront. The snorkeling was amazing, we went on two trips one to Monoriki (Castaway with Tom Hanks was filmed there) and fishing a great experience but caught nothing. I loved every moment.

I gained 2kg and need to get back into my normal fitness routine. We are going to both up our fitness too, by getting back into rock climbing, mountain biking and both start running again. I look forward to a healthy rest of 2012 and 2013 and beyond.

Wedding Planning and work...

Hey everyone!
I'm still alive... I'm deep in wedding planning and school stuff. It's down to the pointy end of the term where I have tonnes of marking, reporting and general school stuff to do. On top of that I'm doing an online course! I am looking forward to the school holidays.

I don't have much to do planning wise just a few little things....
  • finalise invitations
  • cake
  • flowers
  • decor
  • meet with my friend who's my celebrant.
  • Bridesmaid dresses and accessories
  • Pick up my dress; tomorrow! and get it altered.

Update:

I'm trying hard to get back under goal. I'm exercising more, eating well (most of the time occasional dinner out) and finally it's paying off. Yesterday I was 53.0kg and last week I was 53.5kg. So I like what I saw this morning. 52.3kg. So I am officially 0.3kg over goal now. I just need to get myself a buffer and get at 51kg and stay there! I need to be less muffiny for my wedding as I'm honeymooning in Fiji. Wish me luck!

Wedding plans are going swimmingly!

Instagram

One app I absolutely love is instagram. No matter how bad the image there is a filter to make it look good.

Over the past month I've been playing photo a day with chantelle fatmumslim.

I'm also using project 365 for my monthly overview.

Today I used instagram to capture my shopping purchases.

Holiday happiness

I'm on school holidays; again! I know some people are very jealous. Think about it would you like to deal with 120+ teens each day? Us teachers need some sanity which come in the doses of 4 holidays a year.

What I have planned:
  • get into the garden
  • tidy up the house
  • finish next terms planning
  • relax
What are you up to over Easter?

Slowly getting through my wedding to do list

It may seem like forever until I say "I do" in October but in wedding terms 6 months and 15 days is nothing.

Dresses can take up to 5 months to be made and adjusted.

Venues are usually booked 10-12 months in advance.

Cakes 6-8 months depending on the waiting list.

I haven't even looked at invites or flowers yet.

So I'm trying to get Lots done. So I'm sorry if I have neglected you my readers.

So here's my update
I'm back down to 52.4kg this week.
Venue for wedding and reception booked. Celebrant booked, photographer booked, dress bought, groom suit and shoes bought, wedding perfume for us both bought.

So to do:
Invitations
Cake
Transport
Bridesmaid dresses and shoes
Hair and make up
Flowers
Choose decor
Registry
Honeymoon

And I'm sure there is more I've forgotten

So I've included a sneak peak of my dress and venue

Friends - Monica's Wedding Dress

I'm glad I haven't yet had to experience this! Still searching for The Dress! Narrowed it down to a all lace mermaid/ trumpet fit or a dropped a-line waist dress with tulle skirt. Taking mum and my little sis on Sat to see a few dresses.

I hope you are all well. Sorry I haven't been diligent with my posts, its been hectic with school and planning a wedding.

Problems a bride to be faces...

The price of bridal magazines is through the roof.

Your parents want you to be married in a church despite not attending for 10 years and partner not a fan of religious beliefs. Not a Church or a Capel in my wedding plans!

Your family takes everything you say the wrong way!

My mother is jealous of my mother in law. And has been quite blunt that she won't be friends with her ever! I would like both families to get along.

Your maid of honour is refusing to co operate with any requests you make. Which are reasonable about wearing heels and a black dress on the day (nothing else requested yet).

So over the drama already and I haven't even got started on dresses yet!

So what problems did you face for your wedding and how did you deal with it?
