Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend was the first weekend it really felt like Summer. Friday night had a BBQ with Greg's parents. Greg cleaned the house for me as he had a day off from work. Saturday I did the housework and went and saw Twilight - Breaking Dawn with my sister in law. Sunday morning we drove to our summer swimming hole at Numinbah Valley. We had a awesome cooked breakfast and went swimming. I almost lost my brand new pink Havaiana down the creek but Greg rescued it for me.

Today it's back to school for my last teaching week of the year. Time to tidy my room and clear out lots of stuff.

Friday Fitness

It has come for that time of year, holiday time. A time when people stress over gaining weight from the Christmas Cheer. It's common for most women to gain 1-5kg over the Christmas period. So why is this time of year any different from another? 

The three reasons: over-eating, consuming more alcohol, not exercising. 

These are easy to overcome. Fill up on fruits, salads and vegetables, use a smaller plate when eating a meal.

When drinking have a glass of soda water with lime and ice. Make up non alcoholic versions of your favourite drinks, drink water between each alcoholic beverage.

Get out and play games with the kids, go for a walk after lunch, try a new sport or activity. Get out and enjoy the Summer Sun!

What I'm up to this coming week:
I'm working out daily and eating well, I have a week more of lessons with my students then its activities week where they do a lesson from each faculty with a focus on literacy and numeracy. 

Things to do this week:
  • Do things you haven't had time to do!
  • Write your inspiration list
  • Post your before photos
  • Find something that inspires you and post it.
  • Move more; Make “YOU” time by getting in more active activities than this week. It shouldn't be too hard to do this.
  • Try something new - it might be a new activity, food or something you've always wanted to try.
  • Make obtainable short term goals and stick to it.
  • Eat more vegetables and protein.
  • Consume less sugar 
  • Exercise more 
  • Don't let my motivation drop - keep motived and remember how hot you feel when you are happy and fit!
