What would you try if you knew you could not fail?

If I could not fail; I would try surfing.

I am a terrible swimmer, I can swim a little but not enough to get out behind the breakers to surf. I am very uncoordinated, I have no sense of balance. I don't like the feel being underwater, and you need to do this when surfing. I love watching the gracefulness and agility of the surfers on the Gold Coast beaches in summer. There is something hypnotic about surfing, the calmness and yet knowing at any moment you'll be on the high of catching the ultimate wave in.

What would you try if you knew you could not fail?

  1. I would write a book. Something funny and chick litty.

And, since you asked, I would ride a push bike everywhere. It's crazy but I am afraid of push bikes. Riding them, being seen riding them (butt hanging over the sides), falling off them. The whole thing.

Anyways. Great post. Got me thinking.

  2. I'd love to surf, I tried once and failed dismally! Maybe I need to get back on the horse so to speak.

  3. I reckon I would opt for outdoor rockclimbing myself. I so want you to go and have a surfing lesson though - you may be surprised :)
